Creek to Peak Outing
Sedona Hiking Tours
Sometimes it's hard to decide what you would rather see in Sedona... Walk along the lush Oak Creek, or tackle one of Sedona's epic summits. We've solved the problem for you!! Join us on our Creek to Peak Outing and walk along Oak Creek to eventually arrive at the summit of Wilson Mountain. You will hike from the waters edge to the highest peak in Sedona at 7,122ft, gaining over 2,450ft of elevation along the way. This Full Day adventure provides a wide array of photo options and lets you see what truly makes Red Rock Country so special.
Starting along the waters edge, you will follow Allen's Bend Trail to an intersection of Oak Creek Vista Trail which leads below Midgley Bridge. After a short stop to capture the amazing views of Oak Creek Canyon below, your hike will then get "real". By that, we mean the trail will begin a series of steady switchbacks on the southern end of Wilson Mountain to eventually reach the First Bench. As the breath-taking view of Munds Canyon takes over from the East, the trail will climb to the summit of Wilson Mountain in a serpentine fashion to one of the most impressive hikeable summits in Arizona.
The trail will offer the tranquility of the creek and views of Casner Canyon, Munds Canyon, Counterfeit Canyon, Oak Creek Canyon, Mitten Ridge, Wilson Canyon, Steamboat Rock, Ship Rock, Tisha Spire, The Flying Apache, Vultee Arch, Brins Mesa, Doe Mountain, Boynton Canyon, Long Canyon, Secret Canyon, Mescal Mountain, Lost Wilson Mountain, and Maroon Mountain.
